TEHRAN, July 31 (MNA) – The head of the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI) announced here on Tuesday that a Country Assistance Strategy (CAS) document will be signed between Iran and the World Bank (WB) in September.
Behruz Alishiri added that Iran has had over $10 billion worth of foreign investment in the first quarter of the Iranian year (started March 21).Despite some fluctuations in Iran-WB collaborations, currently some $3-4 billion worth of projects are nearly conducted, he said.
Iranians who live abroad can have a significant share in the investments attracted to the country, he observed, adding that last year the establishment of connections with Iranians outside Iran for facilitating their investment in Iran was studied.
The CAS is the fundamental World Bank document, which outlines the Bank’s policy and strategy of assistance to a country, covering a short period usually of three to four years.
